One night, after a chess game, Reed and Tibu are ambushed during a drive. Reed manages to fight off the attackers, but sadly, Tibu dies, telling Reed to look after his son, Kameron. Things get worse when Reed is framed for Tibu’s murder.

Reed soon learns that the assassins involved in Tibu's death are going to be on a cargo ship called the Artemis. So, he cleverly takes on the identity of an assassin who has died and boards the ship himself. Onboard, he meets Angie, another KMG employee who was called to the ship to replace the very assassin Reed is pretending to be. Together, they stumble upon a shocking human trafficking operation. Reed quickly frees the hostages, but then a crew member attacks him after finding the escaping group, and Reed has to kill him. Realising the entire crew is involved, Angie sends out a distress signal to the United States Coast Guard. She gets shot in the shoulder and subdued, and the hostages are recaptured.

Reed then figures out that the ship’s captain, Marko Madsen, is taking orders from Jaran Daniles, the mastermind behind Tibu’s assassination. Their plan was to kill Tibu to delay the sale of KMG and then pressure Kameron into selling the company to them. Reed, driven by revenge, fights his way through the crew, killing most of them. He then confronts Captain Marko, engaging in a fierce fight and eventually killing him with a harpoon gun. The Coast Guard arrives at the ship's location and surrounds Reed, still believing he’s responsible for Tibu's death. But Angie steps in, lying that Reed died on the ship and his body was thrown overboard, saving him. Angie leaves to go back to her family, and Reed, now declared dead and no longer a fugitive, returns to Thailand by motorboat, focused on finding and killing Daniles.
